Air-gapped cold storage for high-value holdings using a spare phone instead of dedicated hardware.
What is Ownbit?
Ownbit is a non-custodial mobile wallet for cross-chain MultiSig and air-gapped cold storage, operated by BITTOOL PTE. LTD. (Singapore). Your keys and seed phrase are generated and stored encrypted on your own device and are never uploaded — Ownbit cannot access, freeze, or move your funds.
Who is Ownbit for?
Ownbit is built for people who hold crypto they cannot afford to lose and want to keep control of their own keys: individuals securing long-term holdings, families sharing custody, teams and companies running a treasury, and anyone planning how their assets pass on. It runs on iOS and Android and needs no extra hardware.
Shared custody and accident protection so no single lost phone or seed puts savings at risk.
Role-based MultiSig treasury with weighted approvals, whitelists and a web console.
Pass crypto to heirs without ever sharing a seed phrase or trusting a custodian.
What can it do?
- Self-custody hot wallet — keys encrypted locally, standard BIP32/39/44 derivation.
- Air-gapped cold wallet — turn a permanently offline phone into a signer that exchanges only plaintext QR codes.
- Cross-chain MultiSig — m-of-n approvals on Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Tron, Solana and more.
- Enterprise MultiSig — Owner, Signer and Security Admin roles, weighted signing, whitelists and limits, managed from a web console.
Is Ownbit non-custodial?
Yes. Ownbit is non-custodial: your private keys and seed phrase are generated on your device and stored there encrypted, never sent to Ownbit's servers. Because the company never holds your keys, it cannot spend, freeze or recover your funds for you — and neither can an attacker who breaches Ownbit. The responsibility for backing up your seed phrase is therefore yours.
The security of your MultiSig assets does not depend on Ownbit's server. You can recover MultiSig assets yourself without help from Ownbit — see the recovery guide.
What Ownbit is not
Ownbit does not claim to be "unhackable" or offer "absolute security" — no wallet honestly can. It minimizes what you have to trust and makes the rest verifiable. It is not an exchange, not a custodian, and not investment advice. It also does not currently support combining an Ownbit signer and a third-party hardware wallet in the same MultiSig.
